Executing arrangements envisaged in the White Paper published by the European Commission just now makes it possible for food safety issues to be managed in a more organised and coordinated way as earlier. Propagating the integrated approach provides assurance to reach the highest level of the protection of public health. Under the new concept the total food regulation should be modernised possibly with the formation of new legal provisions or amending the older ones. As to the Commission the establishment of a new European Food Agency could serve as a scientific workshop or a Contact Point for the Community, ensuring the retoration of consumers confidence that had been very maltreated by the serial scandals in the recent years
