Anthelmintic effect of tricrabendazole on Fasciola sp. of adult stage

Twelve rats, 10 rabbits, 7 goats and 3 cattle were inoculated orally with metacercariae of Fasciola sp. (Japanese strain), and they were orally treated with a single dose of triclabendazole (TCB) when the flukes were aged 56 to 133 days. The animals were killed at 5 to 63 days post treatment, and the number of worms and eggs were compared to those in the untreated control animals.
