Present experiments were carried out to obtain higher developing rate to blastocyst on bovine in vitro fertilization; the effects of culturing in different media namely TCM199, CR1aa, m-SOF, and IVMD101 (Non Serum medium purchased form Research Institute for Functional Peptides) was examined as well as the individual donor cow s rate of development to blastocyst at in vitro fertilization, and survival of frozen/thawed embryos cyopreserved with 1.8 molar ethylene glycol (EG) as a cryoprotectant. Exp.1: The embryos cultured in m-SOP showed the highest development rate among 4 media. There was a significant difference between rates in m-SOP(40.3%) and TCM199(24.2%). Exp.2: Among the 4 kinds of media, m-SOP showed that the highest rate of development to blastocysts by an individual donor cow, followed by IVMD101. Exp.3: About the survival rates of frozen/thawed embryos, IVMD101 showed the highest rate of development to blastocysts; the next was TCM199 and CR1aa; however the difference was not significant. Blastocysts obtained using m-SOF were a little weak and sensitive to freezing and thawing
