[The measuring method of chlorophyl in rice by the use of leaf colour meter]

The measurement of rice leaf colour by the use of leaf colour meter was good to measure at the part of the leaf blade in the centre of second leaf from fully grown top of main stem, which was highest in the rice hills showing the average biomass. The leaf colour in paddy rice by using leaf colour meter could be measured at any time even in any weather condition, the variation coeficient of the measuring value by the hours in a day was very smaller, below 2 percent. The correlation between the value of leaf meter and content of chlorophyl in all the varieties of paddy rice established very deep correlation, below 5 percent, signiticant level. Accordingly, we could see the content of chlorphyl by measuring the value of leaf colour meter
