[The influence of farmyard manure and mineral NPK fertilizers on the productivity of forage crop rotation and agrochemical properties of sandy loam soil]

The results of investigations of farmyard manure (FYM) and mineral NPK fertilisers in a forage crop rotation are presented in this article. The experiment was carried out on a fluvoglacial soddy-podzolic sandy loam soil in LIA, Voke Branch in 1979-1996. The highest yield of feed units per ha was obtained after application of 104 t/ha of FYM every other year and mineral NPK fertiliszers every other year. Application of 52 t/ha of FYM annually strongly blocked a decline in soil pH and increased the sum of sorbed bases in the soil.
