A field experiment was conducted to determine the effect of variable rates of nitrogen and phosphorus on yield and yield components of two sesame genotypes. Grain yield was significantly increased by increasing rate of N application over the control or lower rate of application. The increase in yield was associated with significant increase in branches per plant, pods per plant an seeds per unit area. Cultivar TS3 was superior in yield and components of yield over cv. 92001.
