This paper is aimed at estimating the effect of soil moisture content and groundwater table depth on evapotranspiration of two-cut meadow on the peat-moorsh soil. Studies were carried out during the years 1997-98 in the lysimetric-meteorological station of the Institute for Land Reclamation and Grassland Farming located in the Notec river valley. The groundwater table depth in lysimeters has been kept during the growing season at a constant level of 30, 60 and 90 cm. The lysimeters have been equally fertilized with 160 kg/ha NPK. In lysimeters soil moisture content was measured using TDR method and soil water pressure head was measured using electronic tensimeters with pressure transducer
