Saline soils revitalization by leaching

Proceeding from the basic equation for hydrodynamic dispersion, (Eq. (1)), or its theoretical solution for quantity of leaching irrigation rate, (Eq. (2)), new equations for the calculation of a leaching irrigation rate have been developed, (Eq. (5), (8) and (9)). The results of field infiltration experiments have confirmed the possibility of using the Eqs. (2), (5), (8) and (9) for calculation of a leaching irrigation rate. The best coincidence between theoretical and empirical values of leaching irrigation rate was revealed for equation (9), i.e. the equation which takes an account of the initial soil moisture,Sm as well as the amount of the non-movable soil water
