Continuously intensive culture of Black Tiger Shrimp, (P. monodon) were conducted in earthen pond (2,800 square m) at Satul Coastal Aquaculture Development Center, during December 1991 - September 1992. Two crops were cultured in this study, The first crop was conducted during December 1991 - May 1992 (125 days), 23 ids/sq.m of PL -8 were stocked. The second crop was conducted during May 1992 - September 1992 (117 -days) and the stocking rate was 20 ids/sq.m of PL -15. For both crops were fed with a commercial formulated diet 4 times per day. Feeding rate of first, second, third and after third month were 50 percent, 7 percent, 5 percent and 3 percent of body weight respectively. During the cultured period, growth rate and water qualities were determined twice a month. Production of the first crop was 1,162 kgs, mean body weight was 27.8 +- 2.6 gms survival rate was 64.3 percent and food conversion rate (F.C.R.) was 1.62. And production of the second crop was 976 kgs mean body weight was 28.6 +- 4.7 gms, survival rate was 62.3 percent and F.C.R. was 1.58 the average growth rate of the first and second crop was 0.22 and 0.24 gms/day respectively. The water qualities of both crops were suitable for shrimp culture. In this study, cost of production was 75.15 and 80.98 bahts/kg of shrimp respectively and return value not so difference between each other crop.
