Field experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of seedling ages and nitrogen rates on KDML 105, an aromatic rice variety, at Phitsanulok Rice Research Center during wet-season 1993-1995. The experiment was designed as 3 * 6 factorial in RCB with 3 replications. Treatments are 3 seedling ages, 30 45 and 60 days and 6 nitrogen rates, 0 6 9 12 15 and 18 kg N/rai. The results showed that ages seedlings (45 and 60 days) of KDML 105 decreased plant height and yield but had no effect on tiller number, while nitrogen increased all of them. Physical and chemical grain quality were not affected by different seedling ages or nitrogen rates, except nitrogen content in grain which increased as nitrogen rate increased.
