Considering the great importance of the tomato hybrid seed to obtain high yields in glasshouse, the Institute of Agriculture - Skopje (The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia) has aimed to create own lines and hybrids. There is a long history of creating experimental hybrids, which have been examined. The following hybrids Wega, Cristi, Mayorca, Avela, Lissa and Carmen have been cultivated during two years in glasshouse conditions, and been compared with the standard hybrids Marfa and Sinatra. Standard cultivation practices for this type of production have been performed. The irrigation and fertigation have been done with the dripping system. The Bombus terrestris bumble bee has been used for pollination. The obtained results show that the new hybrids have a longer vegetation period. The hybrids Avela and Carmen have a higher percentage of fertilization, develop more fruits per plants and obtain higher yield compared to the standard hybrids. Marfa abd Sinatra have stronger fruits compared to the other hybrids. Avela and Carmen have better characteristics and parameters than standards and are proposed for field production.
