A contribution to the study of bark beetle (Coleoptera, Scolytidae) fauna of the mountain Goc [Serbia, Yugoslavia]

Scolytidae fauna of the mountain Goc (Serbia, Yugoslava) has been investigated by Zivojinovic (1948, 1963, 1965 a,b), Adamovic (1990) and Mihajlovic et al. (1995). According to the results of their study, 21 bark beetle species were recorded in 12 genera. In our study of Scolytidae fauna on the mountain Goc (Serbia, Yugoslavia), 35 species have been identified in 16 genera. The species Hylastes opacus and Orthotomicus longicollis have been recorded for the first time in the fauna of Scolytidae in Serbia (Yugoslavia). By the comparison of our results with the results of the above authors, it can be concluded that 41 species of Scolytidae in 16 genera have been recorded on the mountain Goc (Serbia, Yugoslavia) to date.
