Green mass of fodder pea with high moisture content, has been conserved in two treatments: without additive and with 4 kg/t sodium pyrosulphite. Silage prepared with additive had higher content of organic substance, crude proteins, carotene, NFE and better preservation. Silage was used for feeding dairy cow. Investigation included influence of silage with additive on quality, lipid content of milk and dairy milk production. Silage prepared with sodium pyrosulphite did not aggravate technological properties of milk. It had effects on rise in fat contents by 0.2%, and in general productivity by 6.4%.
