We followed content of Cu, Zn, Cd and Pb in grass hay from four places in the region of Kraljevo (Serbia, Yugoslavia). We analysed 7 samples of hay and maize silage from each place (28 samples of hay and 14 samples of maize silage). Hay and maize silage were prepared from ash, microelements were determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometric (AAS) method. Copper content in hay was from 5.70-10.37 mg/kg air dried hay, Zn from 9.23-16.64 mg/kg. Cd was detected in hay from third place and Pb was detected on all places in amounth of 0.42-2.16 mg/kg. Copper content in maize silage was 4.52 and 5.24 mg/kg, Zn 8.00 and 8.93 mg/kg, Cd 0.03 and 10.12 mg/kg and Pb 1.02 and 0.99 mg/kg.
