Research on the dynamics of the alleles from amylase locus in the cattle populations, rearing in Bulgaria

The study was conducted on 2846 individs (bulls, cows and their offspring) that were descended from the Black and White, Bulgarian Brown, Jersey and Bulgarian Rhodope cattle breeds.The results showed that distribution of genotypes of the locus of the enzyme amylase 1 in the cattle of Black and White breed is close to the 1:2:1 proportional while in the other breeds were encooontered the genotypes AMY 1B/AMY 1B and AMY 1B/AMY 1C with higher frequency.This is due to a statistic reliable differences in the allele frequencies between some of the researched breeds.
