EDTA-extractable Co concentrations in some bulgarian soils

Data are presented on the background EDTA-extractable Co concentrations in soils of North Bulgaria and Co concentrations in leaves of sugar beet. Critical concentrations in plants were not exceeded in any of the cases. EDTA-extractable Co was low in all the soils with pH 5.5-8.2 and showed close correlation with soil pH. These data can serve as a part of the input parameters in the development of a model for micronutrient availability.
