Spontaneous succession on immission clearcuts

Use of spontaneous succession was usually not considered as an alternative in the restoration of forest ecosystems after immission fellings. Only small number of plots was not successfully reforested and was left from different reasons for the natural dynamics. Evaluation of the spontaneous, natural regeneration indicates considerable potential of forest restitution, even in unfavourable immission-ecologic conditions. Condition sine qua non is represented by the elimination of hoofed game pressure on the forest ecosystems.
