The review article present the clinical picture and pathological findings of the probably most frequent toxicoses - robinia, potato, sorghum, datura, annual mercury, birthwort, walnut, hemlock, senecio, ground-ivy, colchicum, eagle-fern, horsetails, yew tree and photosensibilisating plants - of horses, indicating the mechanism of effect of plant poisons. Beside the presentation of mycotoxicoses caused by aflatoxin, T-2 toxin, zearalenon, deoxinivalenol, fumonisine, stachibotriotoxin, acremonium toxins, ergot and slaphramin the article outlines the other consequences of microbiological deterioration of feedstuffs.
