Studies on chemical control of shot-hole borer on pomegranate were undertaken to find out the most effective and economic chemical inssecticides. Insecticides viz., lindane, chlorpyriphos and diazionon each at 0.05 0.1 and 0.15% carbaryl 0.2 0.3 and 0.4 % along with 40% geru (red soil) and 0.25 % copper oxychloride were applied as a paste to the trunk of pomegranate plants. Considering teh efficacy and economics, lindane 0.05 % or chlorpyriphos 0.1 % along with geru and copper oxychloride as a paste application was quite effective for the management of shot-hole borer.
