2001
Singh, R.K. | Sharma, J. (Central Potato Research Station, Jalandhar (India))
Field performance of microtubers of four commercial potato cultivars were studied for their yield contributing characters at Central Potato Research Station, Jalandhar during 2000-2001 crop season. The emergence per cent was significantly higher (75.7) in cv. Kufri Ashoka, followed by Kufri Badshah (61.3) and Kufri Pukhraj (53.7) while in cv. Kufri Chandramukhi, it was significantly lower (46.7 per cent). Highest tuber yield was obtained for cv. Kufri Ashoka (35.9 t/ha) while microtubers of cv. Kufri Pukhraj, Kufri Badshah, and Kufri Chandramukhi gave tuber yield of 26.1, 23.0 and 18.9 t/ha, respectively. All the cultivars were ELISA tested for PVX, PVS, PVY, PVA and PVM and found virus free.
