The areas of strongly saline lands of the Aral Sea region not used in recent years are determined. Chemical analysis of soil samples is carried out. High degree of salinity - up to 30 percent of dry soil weight - is shown. Reclamation of the lands is possible on thorough soil washing (standard value - 8-12 thou m3/ha) and growing of flooded rice culture.
