Perspective technologies of potato production in Kazakhstan

Scientists of the Kazakh Research Institute of Potato and Vegetable farming jointly with workers of the Kazakh Research Institute of Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture developed an agrotechnical approach allowing to carry out high-quality presowing treatment of soil, treatment of potato at less power intensity as compared to combined, comb and traditional technologies. This is strip-band technology of potato production. High degree of soil crumbling at use of milling machines allows to create favorable conditions for growth and development of plants. Band soil treatment promotes uniform mixing of fertilizers, leveling of fertile layer by horizons, provides high quality of treatment and alleviates operation of seeding and harvesting machines.
