Milk samples were taken monthly for eight months from five carabaos at DTRI [Dairy Training and Research Inst, College, Laguna, Philippines]. Sample were also taken randomly from Bumbong, Jala-Jala, Rizal [Philippines]. Butterfat and calorific values were analyzed using Gerber method and Adiabatic Bomb Calorimetry, respectively. Data showed that the calorific values of carabao's milk had an average values of 1,648.51 calories/gm and it showed an increase during the first three months, a decrease on the fourth month, and increase during the next two months and finally , a decrease during the later stages of lactation. There was no linear relationship observed between, the butterfat content and calorific value of carabao's milk. Lastly, the comparison of calorific values obtained from adiabatic bomb calorimetric determination and Overman and Sanmann's equation showed that lower calorific values were obtained in the equation
