The study was conducted to evaluate the performance of seedling potato tubers from true seed in second generation in comparison with local varieties at NARC, Islamabad. Eleven potato varieties i.e., `Diamant', `Desiree', TPS-9601, TPS-9602, TPS- 9603, TPS-9604, TPS-9605, TPS-9606. TPS-9607, TPS-9608, TPS-9609 were included in this study. The true potato seed (TPS) progenies generally performed significantly better than control for all the yield parameters i.e., number and weight of large, medium, and small tubers. Moreover, the genotype TPS-9606 remained highest for the number and weight of large tubers per plant. For the number and weight of medium tubers, TPS-9605 gave the best results. The control variety `Desiree' gave the minimum number of large and medium tubers.
