Yield forming soil potential assessment - at winter wheat growing
2001
Pechova, B. | Miklovic, D.
The highest energetic potential in loamy and silty soils was found at Mollic Fluvisols and Chernozems (particularly Haplic Chernozem and Luvi-Haplic Chernozem). Good yield forming potential showed also some of Fluvisols (particularly Eutric Fluvisol) and Haplic Luvisol. In topsoil of Mollic Fluvisol besides good level of high quality humus were good conditions for high wheat yields even at lower supply P, K in soil. In Chernozems was found low to medium humus supply with marked predominance of humine acids. C/N ratio was under 10. Besides Chernozems had higher N, P, K levels than Mollic Fluvisols. Nutrient uptake, in spite of good supplies, used to be limited with moisture conditions. In drier year was therefore higher wheat biomass production on Fluvisol with higher ground water level
