The invention is referred to the field of cytology and may be used while studying the selection material. Amaranthus is known to be a valuable feed, food and medicinal plant. A. hybridus being one of the mostly studied varieties of this crop is of the great interest among scientists because of its excellent production and breeding characteristics. The task of obtaining the amaranth preparations is tackled by means of alternating the fixation and colouration conditions. The 12-hours fixation in the Clark fixator is used to fix preparations. The sharp and clear rootlet images are thus obtained
