Low-expense cleaning technologies for newly harvested rapeseed are described. Inert matters show higher indices of hygroscopicity and viability than the basic crop. They assimilate oxygen more intensively and affect the grain storability. The inert matters in new-harvested uncleaned rapeseed totaled 24.8 %. The basic part of the inert oil-bearing matters was about 93 %, including seeds with evident germination signs and mechanical damage. Following precleaning using the OBS-25 unit admixtures stood at 0.5 % and oil-bearing matter 8 %, in so doing 6 % was being heavily separable and remained in the rape
