Results of studies on seedling quality of madhuca in Tam Qui, Thanh Hoa province

Sen (Madhuca pasquiery) is a forest tree species, endemie to Vietnam. Timber is of high quality, hard and heavy, very good for furniture and ship construction. Seeds contain fatly oil. In the paper, some results of research on quality of madhuca seeds are described, namely: seed weight, seed purity, water content, seed germination and storage methods. Seeds collected from Tam Qui, where a small area of madhuca homogenous forest is protected are of highest quality.
