Some issues related to production of turpentine and rosin from chinese pine

Resin tapped from chinese pine (Pinus massoniana) is qualitively distinguished from resin of resinous pine. The paper demonstrated the differences in chemical composition of turpentine and rosin obtained from chinese pille on the basis of chromotographic analysis. The author recommended technology be modified in some operations, mainly in resin tapping and filtration operations aiming at ensuring purity of raw material before distillation process.
