Research of causes, consequences and measures for decrease and control of the soil compaction

During the work on project, 63 scientific or professional papers and three monographs were announced and two master theses and three doctoral dissertations were defended. It is strengthened that the main causes of the excessive soil compaction are: large pressure of mechanization, large skidding of walking elements, weak pull abilities, impractical implements, rinsing of fine fraction, large soil moisture at carring out scientific forming operations, inadequate choice of working regime of mobile technique and shortage of organic mass in the soil, what is defense resistance of the soil is reduced. The damages of the excessive soil compaction are complete in: increase of the production expenses by 20-40%, average decrease of the yields by 10-25%, increase of the fuel consumption by 20-25% and increase of investment for fleet of vehicles, buildings and cadres by 10-15%. Strengthened losses as consequence of the excessive soil compaction are 224.5 USD/ha per year or for the largest agricultural firm with about 15,000 ha tillable land, they reach 3,367,500 USD per year.
