The impact of technological methods of afforestation on the survival of Austrian pine and Scots pine forest plantations on Pesterska Visoravan (plateau), Serbia (Yugoslavia), was studied, e.g. method of soil preparation for planting, type of nursery stock, and the planting season. We analysed the effects of three methods of soil preparation for planting, two planting seasons and two types of nursery stock. In the assessment of the above effects, site factors were also taken into account.
