Present status, problems and perspectives for development of the green system of the capital municipality [Bulgaria]

In this paper are considered the present status, the problems and the perspectives for development of the green system of the capital municipality - Sofia (Bulgaria). A detailed analysis is accomplished of the present status the elements of the capital municipality. Estimations of their basic characteristics are formed, percentage states are extracted and balances of the green areas in the 24 sections of the capital municipality are applied. On the basis of analysis of statistical data and a natural survey carried out of the green areas on the territory of the capital municipality conclusions are drawn and directions are determined for a future development of the green system of the capital municipality.
