The subject of this paper is research of actual trends prevailing in the production, processing and marketing of plum in the World (globally, per continents and in respect of changes occurred in ranking of the countries - the greatest plum producers in the World and in Europe) and in FR Yugoslavia (according to macro-regions and proprietary status of plum orchards). It also studies participation of FR Yugoslavia in the World and European production and trade.
