According to previous and our investigation loess exposure Cot (Stari Slankamen), Serbia (Yugoslavia) is considered as one of the most important section of middle and late Pleistocene in the Carpathian (Pannonian) basin area. Because of the significant scientific and ambient values this locality should be protected.
