Technical parameter/cost ratio of thermal insulation materials for walls in farm buildings

Thermal insulation materials are sought to achieve the required heat transfer coefficient of K=0.5 (w/m2.Co) thus ensuring most economic utilization of energy resources whilst having reasonable prices. The aim of this research is to find thermal insulation materials for various designs of flat walls ensuring the required coefficient K at minimal cost for 1 m2 of wall. To this end, nomograms were developed of the ratio between heat transfer coefficient (K), thickness of insulation layers (d), and the price of 1 m2 flat wall. The nomograms allow direct reading of parameter value with sufficient accuracy.
