[Varietal resistance as a component of integrated plant protection]

The possibilities of varietal resistance in the integrated plant protection against phytopathogenic microorganisms are discussed. It is shown that one should not only create the varietal resistance but preserve it by different strategies. The complex nature of using such strategies for phytosanitary programs is stressed
