[Influence of nutrition on pork carcass classification]

This article provides basic information on different factors influencing the dressing percentage and carcass composition and focuses especially on the influence of the nutrition. The pork carcass composition and protein synthesis differs according to the genotype of the animal. The ideal amino acid composition of the proteins in compound feeds for growing pigs is discussed.
