This article presents new malting spring barley varieties used in the Slovak Republic in 2002 - LUDAN, DANUTA, MALZ, and EBSON. Their technological parameters are described and compared with the varieties NOVUM and KOMPAKT. The varieties EBSON and MALZ showed the best malting quality.
