Advices for nutrient supply of cutted Chrisanthemums
2002
Komiszar, L.
Chrisanthemums grown for cutting demand a lot of nutrients and tolerate salt. For basic fertilization the suggested amount of traditional complex, long-life fertilizers is 150-200 g/m2 or 1,5-3,0 kg/m3. Before planting out 30-40 g/m2 potassium dominant fertilizer is enough. After planting, the first fertilizations should be done with 0,1% solution of phosphorous dominant fertilizer. In the phase of shoot growing the same amount is suggested but of nitrogene dominant fertilizers, while the water-soluble salt content may reach 0,2%. After bud-formation the rate of nitrogen and potassium should be altered.
