Insecticide seed treatments and their effect on our sugar beet production

In Hungary each sugar beet seeds are treated with insecticides before drilling. Previously carbofuran was the most wide-spread insecticide, but nowadays chloronicotinils appeared on the market, which have longer effect. This article discuss the effect of this insecticides to the pest, spreading, prices of them and trends for the future.
