Changes in the bacteriological quality of karst-waters of Budapest in the past 40 years

The Hungarian National Health Service paid a special attention to the examination of the mineral water resources of the Carpathian-Basin even in the forties. The hygienic condition of the karts-waters of the capital has been monitored uninterruptedly since 1955. It has been found that the latest results - in contradiction to the 25-year-old examinations - indicate a definite and appreciable improvement. The complaints found in the latest surveys are occasional and moderate.
