This paper gives a detailed picture of the present official foodstuffs control system in Poland. This will also form the basis for an idea of the future integrated system of official control in Poland in compliance with the international food control practices, while ensures a higher level for foodstuff production and marketing as well as will protect the intersts of economic entities and consumers. This study is based on the presentations of Prof. Waclaw Michal Szyzmanowski, PhD, Deputy Dean for Scientific Affairs, Warsaw Agricultural University and A. Czubala, MSc, Vice President of the Polish Central Standardization Agency; it can be considered as a short abstract or summary of their activities in this field.
