During the academic year of 1999/200, some aspects of A.gossypii reproductive biology were studied in the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jordan. A.gossypii is a world wide pest with a wide host plant range. It showed a higher preferability to cucumber than other tested cucurbits. The tested cucumber cultivars showed no resistance to this aphid, but Ziza cultivar was less preferable to aphid growth. Mumtar cultivar and Beit alpha cultivar were highly preferable.
