The experiment was conducted at the National Tea Research Institute, Shinkiari, Mansehra, during July 1997 to January 1998 with an objective to find out the optimum dose of various concentration levels of IBA, NAA and IRA + NAA for a single node tea cuttings of QI-Men- variety. According to the experimental results 8,000 ppm IBA have significantly best results with regard to percentage rooting/cuttings (73.33 %), root number (9.83), root length (21.07 cm) shoot length (20.57 cm) and number of leaves (4.44). Therefore, IBA alone can be used rather than to combination with NAA. IBA + NAA may have antagonistic effect, therefore it is advisable to use only IBA. Moreover use of two plant growth regulators is costly and time consuming.
