2000
Memon, I.H.
An experiment to study the effects of cuttings on the growth and seed production of berseem (Trifolium alexandrinum) was carried out at Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam during 1998-99. The result regarding meteorological data, temperature and sun-shining hours during vegetative growth varied from day to day. The results produced regarding plant height were statistically highly significant. The maximum plant height was observed in first cutting and the minimum in sixth cutting. Number of branches per plant was highly significant affected by cuttings. The seed yield per plot was recorded statistically highly significant. The maximum seed yield was recorded under fourth cutting. Seed index (1000 seeds weight were found highly significant under different cuttings. The results of seed yield per hectare were produced statistically highly significant.
