Flea infestation in cats and dogs in Tandojam and surroundings [Pakistan]

The present studies were conducted to find out the flea infestation in dogs and cats in Tandojam and surroundings. The findings of this study reveal that the rate of infestation was 43% in dogs and 28% in cats. It was further found that the rate of infestation was low in male population of dogs 10% when compared with female population 50%. In cat host, the rate of infestation was higher in female cats 25% than male cats 11.11%. During this study one species namely Ctenocephalides felis was identified from both dogs and cats.
