Certain problems of field vegetables fertilization

The selected problems concerning fertilization of field vegetables were described, particularly those being decisive in yielding and in crop quality. The special attention was paid to difficulties in estimation of nutritive requirements of plants fertilized with nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium as related to organic matter content, sorption capacity and abundance of the soil in mineral forms of these constituents. The results of recent studies concerning effect of fertilization on nitrate and heavy metal content in vegetable were discussed
