Relationship between chemical soil composition and chemical properties of meadow sward of Arrhenatheretum elatioris association

In the same objects 27 samples of meadow sward each time from surface 2 x 1 square m, and 27 soil samples from the level 5-15 cm were taken for chemical analyses. Investigated perennial ryegrass meadow were localized on the acid brown soils originated from dusts, abundant in Mg and K, but deficient in P. They were characterized by the rich floristic composition. Usually the meadow sward was rich in K, Ca, and Mg but deficient in P, what was connected with soil conditions and considerable participation of legumes and herbs in the sward.
