Grain of winter wheat var. Roma and Elena was stored in three types of grain elevators with different systems of ventilation. A floor store in which grain was stored in corn-bin was a base for comparisons. Changes in the number and species of fungi populating the grain in different places of the elevator were examined before storing and after 4 and 8 month of storage. Among four types of grain elevators, the floor store was found to have a worst storing conditions. After 8 months of storing, the number of fungi from the genus Penicillium and the family Mucoraceae increased
