Contents of nitrogen and its fraction, total sulphur and carbon in poultry droppings

The droppings from chickens fed with 8 different seeds with and without addition of phytase were analysed. Addition of phytase increased concentration of total nitrogen and carbon in droppings. The low C : N ratio in droppings indicates the possibility of quick mineralization process of droppings in the soil. The values of correlation coefficient were significantly negative for relation between the contents of total carbon and sulphur and significantly positive for the content of total nitrogen and nitrogen in not hydrolyzable compounds
